The Ivy Collection is a renowned group of over 40 restaurants across the UK and Ireland. They have over 100 years experience in British hospitality, and continue to deliver sophisticated dining paired with inimitable service. The Ivy Collection is now one of the biggest names in hospitality, and are well known for their vibrant surroundings and aspirational branding.

The Ivy Collection approached TLC to help them update and improve their online platforms to better reflect their rapidly growing brand.

What we did

TLC worked closely with The Ivy Collection to create a brand new website design which also included an integration to their reservation system natively, as well as providing technical SEO support.

Using our partners, OpenTable, allowed a smooth transition for the client when creating the backend of their new website . This was implemented across their 42 sites in the UK, with plans to integrate them to one direct site in the coming months.

User Experience

UX is extremely important for our hospitality clients, therefore we ensured we created a bespoke website design with a seamless booking journey, as well as bringing the design in line with the brand values. Our expert team implemented a design which aligns with all the Ivy Collection locations, utilising WordPress HTML to create an accessible website for Ivy Collection customers.
Due to the high number of mobile users, we had a strong focus on mobile user experience, ensuring the website content could be easily amended and adapted due to the high volume of campaign and season changes

The Platform

The new website incorporated a specialised private dining booking interface which allows the website to push enquiries directly to assigned team members in specific restaurants and locations. This has allowed The Ivy Collection to create an availability calendar reading directly from Ivy availability per restaurant and session giving guests more visibility when making an enquiry.

The new platform has helped to significantly reduce enquiry timescales, as customers can now only request available dates and times.

SEO Support

As a standard we tracked each individual element on every Ivy Collection and Ivy Asia website, including the booking journey, newsletter signups and private dining enquiries.

This process involved understanding what each department of our client’s business needed from the website data and tracking all necessary elements.

Tracking individual elements across every website, allowed us to accurately report on user interactions, and track events and goals that can be used within the business and decision-making process.

With this tracking in place, we saw immediate results across the board, not only through goal completions, but we were better able to understand how users navigated the websites, what their most-interacted elements were and have been able to adjust website content to meet user expectations.
