As a Mid-weight Product Designer, you will be responsible for creating innovative and user-centred designs for our digital products. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and delivering high-quality design solutions. You will work closely with our Project Managers to ensure the successful development and launch of our products!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • User Research and Analysis:

Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviours, and pain points.

Analyse market trends, competitor products, and user feedback to identify opportunities and inform design decisions.

Create user journey maps.

 

  • Interaction Design and Information Architecture:

Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces that enhance user experience.

Develop information architectures and workflows that optimise usability and efficiency.

Create wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups to communicate design concepts.

 

  • Visual Design:

Create visually appealing and consistent design solutions that align with brand guidelines.

Develop high-fidelity visual designs, including icons, illustrations, and graphics.

Collaborate with the design team to maintain a cohesive visual language across products.

 

  • Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate closely with Project managers and stakeholders to define project requirements and goals.

Present and communicate design concepts, rationale, and recommendations to internal teams and clients.

Incorporate feedback and iterate on designs based on client feedback

 

  • Design Documentation and Handoff:

Create design specifications, style guides, and documentation to support development teams.

Collaborate with developers to ensure accurate and efficient design handoff.

Assist in quality assurance efforts to ensure the final product meets design standards.

 

  • Requirements:

Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills, problem-solving abilities, and user-centred design approach.

A strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Proven experience as a Product Designer or similar role

Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar software.

Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to effectively collaborate with developers.

Understanding of design systems, responsive design principles, and mobile-first design.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to translate complex concepts into intuitive and engaging designs.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with an ability to clearly articulate design decisions and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
